Project Description

The Internet is an increasingly important communication tool providing an effective means for the public and the Government of Canada to exchange information and for the government to offer its services in the official language and at the time and place of Canadians' choosing. The consistent and predictable presentation of government services and content offered by Common Look and Feel standards facilitate effective online interaction.

The SharePoint CLF 3.0 toolkit will allow departments and agencies to publish web sites that conform to the new Treasury Board of Canada Secretariat Web Experience Toolkit (WET) or better known as CLF3.0. The CLF toolkit uses the Web Content Management (WCM) capabilities of Microsoft SharePoint Server 2010 and conforms to the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.0 standards.

The toolkit includes:

  1. A master page for the splash page
  2. A master page for the entire web site
  3. 3 Page Layouts
  4. Custom Server and User Control render the SharePoint 2010 Global and Quick Launch Navigations
  5. Several style sheets, and supporting image files and JavaScript, mainly for the compliant menus
